
Rev. Francisco Benavides, Jr. was born on September 24, 1967 to Rev. Francisco and Rosie Benavides of Harlingen, Texas. He is the oldest of five children. Frank has been involved in ministry since a very early age. He began his ministry by participating in the praise and worship ministry at his father’s church in Sugar Land, Texas. After several years, Frank traveled throughout the nation with a Christian band and advanced his ministry at a church in Indio, California. After a few years, Frank returned to Texas and continued his ministry as a musician. In August of 1987, he married Ana Maria Muro of Houston, Texas. That same year, they moved and settled in Harlingen, Texas. Pastor Frank continued his ministry in music. He founded a Christian tejano band called “New Spirit” and traveled with them throughout South Texas. Together they recorded two (2) musical albums.
After several years with the band, Pastor Frank was then called to the praise and worship ministry of a local church. During his service there, he moved in the areas of praise and worship, theatre, and pastoring. He also served on the church board as a trustee. He served at this ministry for more than eight (8) years. Having sensed a greater calling, Pastor Frank then continued his ministry at Valley International Christian Center. Pastor Frank is the founder of the School of Music - a music ministry of VICC. After working with the worship ministry for over a year and exceeding in his work ethics, Pastor Frank was promoted to Executive Pastor and is currently serving as such.
Pastor Ana Benavides was born on July 25, 1967 to Mr. Ignacio and Raquel Muro of Houston, Texas. She is the fifth of six children. She came to know the Lord as a teenager and since she married her husband, has been involved in ministry with him. For the past sixteen years, Ana has worked for the Harlingen C.I.S.D. She is the present Food Service Manager at a local elementary school. Pastor Ana has excelled and is very knowledgeable in the food service arena. She is also very involved in extracurricular activities with her children. She volunteers on the fund raising committee of her son’s baseball team. Pastors Frank and Ana are also owners of two (2) businesses. They are the very proud parents of two children - Andrew and Alexis.
